The Assam government launched a process of acquiring approximately 500 bighas (around 166 hectares) near Guwahati Airport to build a stadium for concerts and congress center, but some media media unauthorized that the Adani Group gains it.
The aim of the government is to secure the land from real investors who want to sell their land, and the residents will not be evicted, Mr. Sarma assured at a press conference.
” This step was launched by the State Government to protect the land for the inhabitants of Assam, and we plan to accept three specific projects in this area, ” said.
These include the most modern stadium to support the Assam concert economy, the Bharat Mandapam Congress Center and the entertainment zone, or the amusement park on the ranks of universal studies, but not on such a large scale, he added.
” All these projects will be fully planned and implemented by the State Government and not by any industrial house ”, he said.
Appeal to the media
He called on the media not to show the public because we have recently seen that some media houses claim that the state government passes the land of Adani or Ambani ”.
” If these industrial houses come to Assam, we welcome them with a wreath and open arms, but they don’t come here for every project, ” he added.
Flagship for women
CM has also announced that the third edition of the ORONODOI flagship, which is provided by the recipient of the women, will start on September 17, which will match the birthday of Narendry Modi and will include 40 Lakh recipients in the state.
Mr. Sarma said that the ORUNODOI system was first introduced in the 2019 budget, followed by ORUNODOI 2.0 after the creation of the current government, which benefited 28 people, and was closed this July.
In Oronodoi 3.0, all recipients were associated with Aadhaar and receive 1,250 GBP each. In introduction, elected representatives of Panchayat and the officials of the district administration of each recipient in August to present them a book and a letter from the main minister, who stated that he was selected for this system.
Mr. Sarma also announced a new initiative – ORUNODOI PLUS – which will be introduced as a pilot project from January 2026 for four months. In this way, the beneficiaries who buy LPG cylinders will receive another subsidy of 250 GBP.
“The letter will also be provided for the LPG and Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) (IOC) forms will inform the State Government when the recipient buys gas. 250 GBP will be directly credited to its bank account,” he said.
“We initially start the scheme for four months to test the coordination between agencies. If it works, we will enlarge it,” he added.
Mr. Sarma also announced the launch of the second edition of the “Moin” scheme and provided financial support to the eligible students of girls for higher studies so as not to be from school and became victims of children’s marriage.
The forms will be distributed to justified students of girls from August 6, he said.

This program started in October last year to provide financial assistance to girls from higher secondary to postgraduate levels in government and government institutions, because most girls fall out of schools after class 10 and then took them.
