
The main Minister of Assam Himanta Bisw Sarma issued orders for shooting in the State district of Dhubri after “the group became active with the intention of damaging our temples”.
In a report published on X, cm stated: “A specific group happened in Dhubri active with the intention of damaging our temples. We issued a shooting command.”
In another X post, he said he visited Dhubri on Friday to assess the situation in the district and visit again if necessary. “The Assam government is with you,” Dhubri told the inhabitants and at the same time ensured security. “I assured people Dhubri that no one had to live in fear,” he wrote in his post.
CM visited Dhubri after the municipal violence after the incident, when cow meat was thrown at the Eida festival on Hanuman Mandir.
“Tolerance zero against…”
During her visit, she asked Sarma a police officers to follow “zero tolerance” against elements that were desecrated by temples, naamghary and sacred places.
He also stated that the participants would not be spared.
“I visited Dhubri and ordered the coercive bodies to follow zero tolerance against the elements that would desecrate our temples, naamghary and sacred spaces. The incident of beef throwing on the city Hanuman Mandir should never happen, and those involved will not be saved,” Sarma wrote in X.

In a later post for X, cm, he said that Hanuman Baba’s temple would be guarded all night, if necessary.

Prohibition Orders raised from Dhubri
Without a new invalid incident reported after municipal tensions, the DHUBRI District Administration withdrew from the city on Tuesday and allowed all shops to open, reported on the PTI press agency and quoted officials.
The situation of the law and order in Dhubri deteriorated after protests after pieces of meat were found on Sunday near the temple in Dhubri. They were lobbied on Monday to disperse agitators on Monday and restricted the public movement.
Di -DiBakar District Commissioner Dibakar Nath said that the situation in Dhubri is currently under control.

On Monday, Miscreants reportedly attacked vegetable sellers and e-ricked drivers near the Dhubri Municipal City colony and the new market. The police threw themselves on the scene and fired tear gas shells to distract the crowd and regain control over the situation, said the PTI report.
In order to prevent further flare of “municipal tension, risks or violent protests”, the administration immediately cleared the restriction according to section 163 BNSS and ordered all shops and market facilities in the city to remain closed.
It also banned the collection of five or more people in any public places intention of a demonstration or meeting or parade.
