The mixed 4x400m relay team of TS Manu, MR Poovamma, Vishal TK and Vithya Ramraj won silver while Seema bagged bronze in the women’s 10,000m.Seema’s medal was India’s first athletics medal at the Games and also the first women’s 10,000m medal at the Asian Games since 2010. She clocked 32:50.05 to finish behind Bahrain’s Winfred Yavi and Japan’s Nozomi Tanaka.The medley relay quartet ran 3:14.46 to finish second behind Bahrain, who won gold in a Games record 3:12.87. It was India’s third medal in a row after gold in 2018 and silver in the previous Asian Games.

Roshibina adds another Wushu silver

Roshibina Devi Naorem also added a silver medal to India’s tally in the women’s 60kg sanda event. She lost 0–2 to China’s Zhang Xiaoyu in the final, with Zhang winning both rounds 5–0.It was Roshiba’s second silver in a row at the Asian Games. She also won silver at the 2023 Hangzhou Games and bronze at the 2018 Jakarta-Palembang edition, bringing her total number of medals at the Asian Games to three.

Historic bronze for Anantjeet-Parinaaz

Indian skeet shooters Anantjeet Singh Naruka and Parinaaz Dhaliwal claimed a historic bronze in the mixed team event. The medal was India’s first ever at the Asian Games in mixed team skeet. It also completed three medals for Indian skeet at the Games. Anantjeet had earlier won bronze in the men’s team, while Parinaaz was part of the women’s team which also won bronze.

Satnam-Salman won the rowing bronze

India also secured a historic bronze in the men’s double sculls, with Satnam Singh and Salman Khan finishing third. The Indian pair clocked 6:13.25 to finish behind gold medalists China and silver medalists Uzbekistan.It was India’s first Asian Games medal in the men’s double sculls event.

Where is India in the medal standings?

India moved up to 15th in the 2026 Asian Games medal standings after Thursday’s results.India has 17 medals – one gold, seven silver and nine bronze.China continued to lead the standings with 130 medals, including 80 gold, 30 silver and 20 bronze. Japan was second with 91 medals, while South Korea took third place with 50. Kazakhstan was fourth with 25 medals, followed by Uzbekistan with 26. Iran, Thailand, Hong Kong, North Korea and Bahrain rounded out the top 10.
