
The Asian Champion and National Record holder of 100m Hundler Jyothi Yarraja underwent a successful knee surgery that would keep her outside the World Championship in September. The operation also ended her season.
A 25 -year -old announced through social media that they had undergone an operation on Friday to repair the ACL crack in the right knee. Surgery was performed by the well -known surgeon Dr. Dinshaw Parddiwala, who also helped recover Rishabh Pant after his accident.
“Hi everyone, I will be happy to share it this Friday, I have successfully undergone a successful operation to repair ACL tears on my right knee with Dr. Dinshaw Parddiwalou. The last few weeks have been difficult for me because this injury prevented me to do what I love most,” wrote Yarraje on Instagram.
“But with the support of my family, friends, teams on tops, media.iccsai, Afiaion Official and RFyouthsports Coachjameshillier and all of you, I take it in my step and hope to return very soon.
Yarraja suffered crazy knee injuries during the training at the beginning of the month, admitting her coach that it was serious. Before affected by injuries, she had a good chance to qualify for the World Championship, although she did not break the direct qualification period of 12.73 seconds.
Her victory at Asian championships in May, which helped her win gold, built her among athletes who can get to the world championship through quota in the world. Yarraji won gold in 100m hurdles and a 200m race in Uttarakhand National Games. Then she continued to defend her crown at Asian championships.
