The team will be led by Suryakumar Yadav, with SHUBMAN GILL on behalf of Vice-Capitan. The remarkable omission is Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shreyas Iyer. The former Indian cricket and selector Madan Lal expressed a surprise in the exclusion of Jaiswal and also raised concerns about the treatment of the role of Hardik Pandy. The versatile player has been selected in the group, but no longer holds the vice-chairman, which he last occupied during the World Cup 2024.
