Dube, who picked up three goals for only four runs in two crosses, played a key role in the Indian nine host goals, showing that his bowling can be as effective as his strength. Dube attributed many of his improvement to Bowling coach Morne Morkel, who has worked closely with him since his return to the Indian team during the England series. “Morne has been working with me since I returned to the Indian Team for the England series. He gave me some specific advice and I worked on them,” Dube said. He revealed how Morkel helped him fine -tune his line, develop a slower van and adjust his start. “The head coach and the captain told me that my bowling would play a role,” he added. The Indian versatile also spent the last two months focusing on its fitness and toss skills. “I’ve been working a lot for my fitness for the last two months. As for my launch, I know I have a role in medium breaks. Over the years, the fights have been targeting me with short balls and working on increasing my range of shots,” Duba explained. He also talked about adapting to the conditions and noted that “as the tournament proceeds, the gate is scared and I know that my slower ball will be effective and I also know how to burn in medium breaks.”

On comparison with Hardik Pandya, Dube was clear that there was no rivalry. “Hardik is like a brother from whom I tend to learn a lot because he has much more experience in both IPL and international cricket. Looking at India-Pakistan, Dube remained grounded. “Whether I play against UAE or Pakistan, I try to see what my coach Gauti Bhai (Gambhir) tells me. When you play for India, you have a chance to do some great things for the country,” he said.
