The Asia Cup 2025 is only two days away, because Afghanistan and Hong Kong will receive a tournament on Tuesday 9th September in Abu Dhabi in Abu Dhabi. The eight-day event will present the usual large parties from Asia, namely India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Bangladesh.
In addition, three other teams also decide to create a mark against Big Five. Oman debuts at the mega event in the main stages, while Hong Kong and SAE are set to their fifth and fourth appearance.
SAE has won their place in a continental tournament after winning the ACC Premier Cup 2024 by defeating Oman in the final. They come to the event from the TRI series against Pakistan and Afghanistan and lose all four of their matches. Captain Muhammad Waseem will have the burden of leading his team against similar India and Pakistan in Group A.
On the other hand, Hong Kong sealed his place in the Asian Cup after winning the playoffs in third place against Nepal in the Premier Cup ACC ACC. They come to the tournament after they lost against Malaysia in Asia Pacific Cricket Champions Trophy 2025.
Meanwhile, Oman comes to the tournament and last played in ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2 2023/24-2027. The ACC Premier Cup 2024 ACC runner sealed its place in Asia Cup. They are located in a group and together with India, Pakistan and SAE.
Players are careful
