“The cricket among nations is to show harmony and friendship. But after a terrorist attack and Phalagam surgery, Sindoor, when our people died and our soldiers risked everything, playing with Pakistan sent the opposite message that while our soldiers sacrifice their lives, we celebrate sport with the same country that protects terrorists.
The petitioners added: “It can also harm the sentiment of the victims families who have lost their lives in the hands of a Pakistani terrorist. The dignity of the nation and the safety of citizens comes before entertainment.”
The application stated that the cricket match between the two countries was “harmful to the national interests” and the moral of the armed forces and the nation as a whole.

India published a commanding victory with nine goals in her Opener Asia Cup against SAE on Wednesday. India will play its final group stage against Oman 19. September in Abu Dhabi. After the band phase, the tournament will continue to Super 4, where the two best teams from each group are qualified.
