
Volunteers from the environmental groups would be deployed on Friday during Ashada Shukravar at the foot of Chamundi hills to discourage devotees from transferring plastic with one use on the hills.
Representatives of Parisara Univigati Kriya Samithi or environmental protection events on Wednesday convened a press conference in Mysur and said that about 150 volunteers would be present on Friday to monitor, prevent and help dedicated to one use.
Environmentalists who appealed to the devotees to use only the organic material of Pooja also urged the office for the development of the chamundeshware temple to ensure that offers such as Baagina, Badami milk and dry fruits are distributed without plastic with one use.
