All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Saturday said that if US President Donald Trump can “capture” Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, then why Prime Minister Narendra Modi cannot bring back the masterminds of the 26/11 terror attacks from Pakistan.
Owaisi was heard during a speech in Mumbai saying, “Today we saw that the forces of US President Donald Trump captured Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and took him from his country to America.
Addressing Prime Minister Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Owaisi said whether Trump can send his army and kidnap Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro from his own country and whether Saudi Arabia can bomb Yemeni ports…
“We are telling you, Modiji, why can’t you send troops to Pakistan and bring back the masterminds of 26/11 terror attacks to India, be it Masood Azhar or the vicious devil of Lashkar-e-Taiba,” Owaisi said.
He added, “Modiji, take the 56-inch seea, then kidnap them and bring them back to India.”
The US is attacking Venezuela
Owaisi’s statement was in reference to the recent US strikes in Venezuela. Trump confirmed a “large-scale strike against Venezuela” and posted on social media Truth that Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife had been captured and taken out of the country.
He was transferred to New York. Trump previously shared a photo of a blindfolded Maduro aboard the USS Iwo Jima. The image showed what appeared to be Maduro wearing an eye mask and headphones in a gray tracksuit.
“This operation was conducted in conjunction with USlaw Enforcement. Details to follow,” Trump wrote in his post.
Trump also promised to bring the country under US control for the time being, even as Venezuelan officials vowed defiance.
In a dramatic overnight operation that knocked out electricity in parts of Caracas, US special forces captured Maduro in or near one of his safe houses, Trump said.
With Maduro in U.S. custody, “We’re going to run the country until we can make a safe, orderly, judicious transition,” Trump said during a news conference at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida.
“We cannot risk Venezuela being taken over by someone else who does not have the interests of Venezuelans in mind,” he was quoted as saying by Reuters.
