In the middle of the deadly Nepalese protests, the Indian tourist was stuck in Pokhara’s desperate appeal for the help of the Indian government.
In a viral video, a woman who identified herself as Upasana Gill claimed that the protesters had set fire to her hotel, burned all their belongings and said she was also persecuted by sticks that had flew to safety. Gill said she came to Nepal to host the volleyball league.
“Indian government, please get all our people back. The situation is terrible in Nepal right now.
In a video shared by independent journalist Prfful Garg, the woman identified herself as Upasana Gill and asked the Indian embassy to help the Indians get stuck in Nepal.

“Everyone who can help us please help us. I’m here in Pokhara, Nepal.
“All my luggage, all my things, were in my room and the whole hotel was lit. I was in the spa and people were running behind me with very big chopsticks and I hardly escaped my life,” she added.
According to Ubasana Gill, the protesters also focused on tourists and repeated that the situation in Nepal is very bad. “Fires are everywhere on the roads.
Gill, speaking for every Indian in the country, said they didn’t know how long they could stay in another hotel. “But I just ask the Indian embassy to make this video, this message, to be delivered. With my folded hands, I ask you all, please help us. There are many people with me and we all stuck here.”

The center urged Indian citizens in Nepal to remain vigilant, have caution and follow the instructions of the Nepalese authorities in the middle of the walking.
Acknowledge that the authorities imposed a ban on walking in Kathmandu and several other cities in Nepal, Mea asked Indian nationals in Nepal to remain alert. “Indian nationals in Nepal are recommended to proceed with caution and follow the steps and instructions issued by the Nepalese authorities,” Mea said.
