
Pakistan on Wednesday claimed that India could consider a military action against the neighboring country in the next 24-36 hours. The accusation was made as a tension between India and Pakistan escalated as a result of a terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir Pahalgam 22 April. At least 26 people were killed in the attack.
Attaullah Tara, Pakistani Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, issued a statement on Wednesday, saying that Pakistan “has credible intelligence, that India intends to perform a military action against Pakistan in the next 24 to 36 hours …”

Defense budget

Indian military expenditures in 2024 were almost nine times higher than Pakistani expenditure, PTI reported, while on Monday quoted a study published by the leading Swedish Think Tank.
According to Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI)Indian military expenses, the fifth largest worldwide, increased by 1.6 % to $ 86.1 billion, while Pakistan spent $ 10.2 billion.

India has 293 assets, including two aircraft carriers, 13 destroyers, 14 frigates, 18 corvettes, 135 patrol vessels and 18 submarines.
For comparison, Pakistan has 121 assets including nine frogs, 69 patrol vessels, nine corvets, eight submarines and three mining wars. According to global firepower, it has zero aircraft or destroyers.
