
The Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz was crowned by the world 1 in men’s singles after Jannik Sinner defeated Jannik Sinner in the US Open on Sunday 7th September. Alcaraz spread out the sinner at the Arthur Ash stadium and finished the game in 4 sets, in a battle that lasted 2 hours and 42 minutes. Alcaraz, who spoke after the game, explained how he turned the tables to Sinner, who defeated him in the last Grand Slam of the year, Wimbledon.
Alcaraz was in the song on Sunday and strongly served during the match. The Spaniard did not start a single double mistake throughout the match, while Sinner plunged four times. Alcaraz, who spoke with the press after the game, revealed that the Wimbledon finals were a place where he decided to need to improve his game to defeat Sinner.
Alcaraz said he took a week off after the final loss of Wimbledon and then devoted himself two weeks especially for working on things that would improve him than a sinner.
“Immediately after. After the match (Wimbledon final). I thought I had to prove some things if I wanted to beat him after the Wimbledon finals. Then I took a week. But then I practiced specific things to improve to beat Jannika.

US Open Final: Sinner vs Alcaraz emphasizes
After the match, Sinner guaranteed that his game was too predictable against Alcaraz in the US Open final. But the Spaniard faced this opinion and said he just loves watching Sinner and entered the game after watching many of his matches.
“I wouldn’t say I read his game, that he was predictable … I watch many of his matches. First, because I like to watch him play. I think it’s unbelievable what he’s doing …” Alcaraz said.
Sinner 2-1 now leads the ALCARAZ victory in the Grand Slam final. In 2025, Sinner defeated at the French Open. Alcaraz also returned to rating No. 1 after 65 weeks, dominated by a sinner in 2024.
