The Chief Minister of MK Stalin said on Saturday that artistic forms played – and continued the game – an important role in the care of Tamil’s language, and that was the predidian movement that introduced the ideology and propaganda by the theater.
“Writings, oratory, literature and language for educating art. If the language is destroyed, it will prepare a way for the destruction of race, culture and identity. If we lose our identity, we will lose our right to call it Tamils,” and the Kalaimamans will award the Tamil Nadu Iyal Isail Naduaka for 2021, 2021, 2022.

The Chief Minister also awarded the MS Subbulakshmi Award for the singer and the back singer KJ Yesudas, the Bharathiyar N. MurgeGesapandian Prize and the Balasraswathi Muthukannamal Award. They commemorate the contributions of the founder of DMK CN Annadurai, the poet of Bharathidasan, the writer of SS Thennaras, actors Radhy, KR Ramasamy, Sivaji Ganesan, SS Rajendran and others, Mr. Stalin said they spread the ideas of the predidia movement, cinema and literature.
Stalin said the DMK government watched in the footsteps of its late leader Kalaignar M. Karunanidhi in the support of artists, as reflected in the felicitation of the music director Isaignani Ilaiyaraja for the composition of the symphony. “The Heritage Movement movement promoted Tamil music, writing and theater. It enriched the language on public platforms and reformed society,” he said.
The main minister said the Kalaimamans were intended to protect ancient art forms and those who practiced them.
“The aim is to breathe new life into dance and drama and promote our artistic forms in other countries and around the world. Iyal Isai Nataka Mandram also provides financial support to artists who need help for their nutrition,” he added.
Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin; Deputy Minister of Information Saminathan; K. Manivasan, another main secretary of the Department of Tourism, Culture and Religious Foundations; Vagai Chandrasekar, President of the members and Vijaya Thayanban, Tamil Nadu Iyal Isai Nataka Mandram were present.
