
New Delhi: Pakistani Olympic Javelin Javelin Jaissee Nad Instagram was blocked in India on Wednesday evening, just a few days after a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, which claimed the lives of 26 Indian tourists.
Visitors to the Instagram Arshad profile were met with a blank page.
“The account is not available in India. This is because we have met a legal request to restrict this content,” the report on the page read while the account open.
Instagram accounts of several Pakistani crickets – including Babar Azam, Shahid Afridi, Mohammad Amira, Mohammad Rizwan and Shaheen Shah Afridi – but remain accessible in India.
“They will be brought to justice behind this abominable act,” said Prime Minister Narendra Modi in X (formerly Twitter).
“Our determination to fight terrorism is unshakable and will be even stronger,” he said.
