All arrangements are ready for ‘Pagalankarana’, the main ritual of the 11-day Maha Sivatri Brahmotsavams on Sunday at the Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple in Srisailam.
The district administration has made elaborate arrangements for smooth darshan of devotees visiting the temple during the occasion. Kurnool Range DIG Koya Praveen, Collector Rajakumari Ganiya, Superintendent of Police (SP) Suneel Sheoran along with temple manager M. Srinivasa Rao reviewed the arrangements for Pagalankaran and the facilities provided to the devotees.
Mr. Praveen directed the police officials to make a bandobus in the queue and also on the roads leading to the temple. The DIG also suggested the officials to deploy additional forces in view of the increase in devotees during Pagalankaran. He asked the police officials to monitor the situation round the clock from the command room and asked the devotees to exercise restraint during the darshan.
Meanwhile, Collector Rajakumari Ganiya inspected the arrangements at Patalaganga bathing ghat, rest stops, main roads, CCTV queues at command control rooms and directed the officials to maintain the queues properly.
Meanwhile, 80,000 devotees had a hassle-free darshan and the temple management offered them prasadam and food on Friday, she said.
The district administration along with voluntary organizations arranged drinking water, medical facilities and food at 13 places for the forest wandering devotees. Ambulances and medical personnel were also available, she said.
