Arrangements for CM Vizag visit reviewed; 26,426 to get home patty on 19th September
District Minister-in-Charge Dola Sree Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy and MP M. Sribharat on Tuesday (September 15, 2026) asked officials and public representatives to coordinate the successful implementation of the Chief Minister’s programs in Visakhapatnam on September 19.
The Minister and the MP, who participated virtually in the review meeting presided over by Collector M. Abhishikth Kishore, gave instructions on the measures. They stressed the need to ensure that all eligible beneficiaries receive ‘pattas’ from the Chief Minister on the spot. Officials were asked to identify recipients from each constituency, issue invitations in advance and inform them of designated galleries and routes to the venue.
The Collector said that 26,426 beneficiaries have been identified for the distribution of pattas and conveyance deeds in the seven assembly constituencies. The program will be held on the grounds of Andhra University College of Engineering.
He said that Swarna Andhra-Swachh Andhra program will also be held along Beach Road as part of Sagara Swachhata initiative. The Nirmal Sagar pilot project is to be launched under the programme, which includes beach cleaning, marine waste recycling and livelihood opportunities.
The Collector said that the Secretary to the Central Government and representatives of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) would attend. The venue of the Sagara Swachhata program has not been finalized yet, he said.
The meeting was attended by Government Whip and Visakhapatnam West MLA PGVR Naidu (Ganababu), Police Commissioner Shankhabrata Bagchi and GVMC Commissioner Ketan Garg, besides other officials and members of the public.
