The Chief of the Army Staff (Coas) General Ubendra Dwivedi on Monday (June 30, 2025) went to Bhutan on a four -day official visit to further strengthen the defensive cooperation between the two countries.
During the visit, the head of the army will invite Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, King Bhutan and organizes a discussion with Lieutenant General Batoo Tshering, Chief Operational Director of the Royal Bhutan Army. The boss will also interact with the higher officials of the Indian Embassy, the Indian military training team (IMTRAT) and the Dantak project.
The visit reflects deeply rooted and time -tested links between India and Bhutan and reaffirms India’s obligation to a close and trusted partner, the press release said.
The army of the army to the neighboring country comes against the background of the operation that Sindoor performed in May.
