Wedding bells rang in Mumbai for Arjun Tendulkar, son of Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, when he married Saaniya Chandhok in a glittering ceremony on March 5. The celebrations turned into a gathering of cricket’s biggest names as stars from the worlds of sports, business and entertainment gathered to witness the big day.
The ceremony was held at a private venue in South Mumbai where family members, close friends and famous faces from different areas gathered to celebrate the couple’s big day.

Arjun and Saaniya’s wedding came after weeks of festivities that kept building excitement for the occasion. The couple announced their engagement on August 25 last year and the celebrations kicked off with several pre-wedding events in the months leading up to the ceremony.
Former Indian captain MS Dhoni arrived at the venue with his wife Sakshi Dhoni, he attracted a lot of attention when he joined the Tendulkar family for the celebrations.
India head coach Gautam Gambhir was also present with his wife Natasha Jain who made the most of her time in Mumbai. India vs England T20 World Cup semi-final later that evening.
CRICKET ROYALTY ATTEND ARJUN-SAANIYA WEDDING
Several Indian cricket stalwarts were spotted arriving at the venue to celebrate the occasion. Legendary opener Sunil Gavaskar attended with his wife Marshneil Gavaskar, while former India head coach Rahul Dravid, former captain Anil Kumble and former India coach Ravi Shastri were among the prominent guests.
World Cup winning all-rounder Yuvraj Singh arrived with his wife Hazel Keech while former India all-rounder Irfan Pathan was also present at the ceremony. Former Indian spinner Virender Sehwag, former pacer Zaheer Khan along with wife Sagarika Ghatge and former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh with wife Geeta Basra were also spotted at the venue.
Young cricketer Prithvi Shaw was among the players who attended the celebrations, while former India wicketkeeper Parthiv Patel arrived with his wife Avni Zaveri.
Apart from this, International Cricket Council (ICC) chairman Jay Shah and India’s chief selector Ajit Agarkar also attended the wedding with his wife.
Former Indian cricketer and Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) president Venkatesh Prasad was also present.

STAR GUEST LIST
The guest list extended beyond cricket. Adding a Bollywood presence to the gathering, actor Abhishek Bachchan arrived with his wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and family members.
Filmmaker and actor Ashutosh Gowariker attended the event with his wife Sunita Gowariker, while Maharashtra state minister Ashish Shelar was also among the guests present.
Business leaders Mukesh and Nita Ambani were closely involved in the celebrations and were also expected to attend the ceremony in Mumbai.
WHO IS SAANIYA CHANDHOK?
Saaniya Chandhok comes from a prominent business family. She is the daughter of Sunny and Gaurika Ghai Chandhok and the granddaughter of Ravi Ghai, the chairman of the Graviss Group, the company behind Baskin-Robbins India.
A graduate of the London School of Economics, Saaniya works as a veterinary technician and also runs a luxury pet spa in Mumbai called Mr. Paws.
Earlier in the celebrations, the couple’s mehendi ceremony was held at the Mahalaxmi Racecourse in Mumbai. The celebrations also included a pre-wedding bash at Jamnagar hosted by the Ambani family.
