Here’s the full excerpt of the press conference of Gautam Gambhir and Suryakumar Yadav after the T20 World Cup final against New Zealand.

Surya, just too many records with this win becoming the first team to win consecutively, the first team to win three titles, the first team to win playing at home. Just how is the feeling? What are you feeling right now? How has the celebration been? What is the plan ahead? And just how are you soaking it all in as a captain, as a leader? You had said in the beginning at the captain’s PC that call me a leader because captain when you call me there can be some sort of complacency. So being the leader just your entire journey this World Cup win – what does it mean to you?
(Surya Kumar Yadav:)
Firstly happy women’s day to you and obviously very happy, but it’ll take a little bit of time to sink in. We have just come out of a game. It was a good game. Playing at home. When we wake up tomorrow and go back home, I don’t know where we are going, but it will be a special feeling. But yeah, very excited, whatever happened in the last two years post 2024 T20 World Cup until today. I think it was unbelievable and the feeling I think, currently I don’t know how do I share it, but it has been a wonderful journey.

You are the first coach to win two ICC trophy’s and also won an Asia cup, and this time you’ll got the trophy also – what do you have to say to this?
(Gautam Gambhir:)
The first thing is that the players have made me win. I have been saying this for a long time that you are as good a coach or as good a captain as your players. So I think credit needs to go to the players. The way, the professionalism and most importantly the bravery with which this tournament was played. Like the captain said, we play differently in bilateral tournaments, but ICC tournaments are played differently. I think we wanted to change that. I’m sure everyone has seen that. If you make more than 250 runs in the semifinal and final, that just shows the quality, bravery, and courage with which this tournament was played.

I have a question for you. There were many doubters who talked a lot on social media when the team doesn’t do well. But your effort behind the scenes, who stays with the players, whoever does well or not, if you talk about your individual process, how you handle the players, if you could explain that how much effort you put in being the head coach of the team. You have done mentorship and of course you have done captaincy in IPL. But as a head coach of the team, how different is this challenge for you to take this team to where it is right now?
(Gautam Gambhir:)
First of all, my accountability is not towards any social media. My accountability is mostly towards those 30 people who are sitting in the dressing room. And not towards anyone. Because if I can work honestly with them, if we can put in the hard word honestly – my accountability was never before, nor will it be today or in the future. Then even if I win two ICC trophies as a coach, it really doesn’t matter because in the future, I think those 30 people matter the most to me in my coaching tenure, no one else matters.
The most important thing in this T20 format was that we didn’t want to be afraid of losing. Because if you are afraid of losing, you never win. I always believe that high risk, high reward is very important in this format. Because many times it happens that you play in a conservative way. I would have been happier if we had been out at 110-120. But our target was always to make 250 runs. But we didn’t want to play the 160 – 180 runs cricket. I think for too long, we played cricket with 160-170 runs. But for the last two years, it was the captain’s philosophy, the captain’s ideology – obviously, if the captain and coach are not on the same page, it can never be possible. The captain himself wanted to play high risk, high reward. And I think the credit needs to go to the captain as well.

I just wanted to ask how it was for the two of you to work together. Since you came together in 2024, the challenges you took along, there were a lot of selection calls which were debated, questioned, this player was dropped, now this player is being played, that player is being played. But you seem to have a plan figured out for this team right through, since that Sri Lanka series. So, when you look back, how was it for you working with Surya? I’m not saying the partnership is ending, but the last two years and Surya same, how was it for you to work with the coach? You have spent a lot of time with him in the IPL but when you work for a team and a goal is clear that you have to defend the World Cup, you have to be the first team to win a title at home. So if the two of you can just talk about working with each other in the last two years.
(Surya Kumar Yadav:)
I think I have played cricket with Gauti bhai for four years. I knew from the beginning what our expectations would be from each other. Many times we have talked about the team, about the playing 11 or 15, who we have to choose, and14 players have always been the same. So if the success rate is this high, so we don’t need to discuss it so much. Because we were always on the same page, since we started working together, from the Sri Lanka series, when we went to Sri Lanka, from then till now, I don’t remember any time we had an argument over a player. Whether we should play a particular player or not. We both were always interested in making the team win. How we can put a player in a position that can benefit the team. Our goal was to achieve something good together. That’s why we were comfortable with any selection call. Whether it’s playing XI, XV or even off the field. Because we already had that camaraderie. I have played with him and I knew what he thinks. He will take two steps, I will take two steps and we will meet somewhere in the middle. So many times it has happened that we didn’t even need to discuss much. So this is a special thing, which is very important. Coming to a big tournament. If you want to win the World Cup, it is very important for both to be on the same page.
(Gautam Gambhir:}
Look I have said this before – I think Surya has made my life a lot easier in this format. I think he’s a phenomenal leader. I think yes, he very rightly mentioned that he doesn’t want to be called as a captain, he wants to be called as a leader, because leader is a far bigger figure, father figure in a dressing room than a captain. And again, I think my simple philosophy with Surya has always been that milestones don’t matter. It’s the trophies that matter. For too long in Indian cricket, we’ve spoken about milestones. And I hope, till I’m there, we’re not going to talk about milestones. You can see it very easily as well. You can see it in the last three games, what Sanju did. 97 not out, 89, 88. Imagine if you would have been playing for a milestone, probably we wouldn’t have got 250. So I think this is for you guys as well. Stop celebrating milestones, celebrate trophies. That is going to be important, because the bigger purpose of a team sport is to be winning trophies, not scoring individual runs. It has never mattered to me, and it will never matter to me. And I think Surya has – actually I been very fortunate that Surya and me were on the same page, especially on this front.

What is your message to the 130,000 people and the billions who rooted for you and the role that each player played for you?
(Surya Kumar Yadav:)
Obviously, I just wanted to say thank you for keeping us, all the players and support staff in their prayers. Everyone wanted to win this World Cup. No team has done this before at home soil. I am sure it will be a special feeling for all the Indians in India and all over the world. It is a special feeling. I just want to say thank you. Maybe tomorrow when I wake up and I get to talk to a lot of people, of course I will say the same thing. But yeah, it is a special feeling and message, as you said, message to all the players or who – ? The players.

All of them played to their roles, so how happy are you?
(Surya Kumar Yadav:)
I mean very happy, obviously very happy. They responded very well throughout the last two years. The brand of cricket which we wanted to play, I think it was important to sit together and understand what this team demands. Performing their roles, understanding their responsibilities, chipping in at the right time, talking to each player when someone is not doing well. That is more important for me. When someone is not doing well, you try and spend time with him, take him out for dinners, talk to him, because those are the players who at the right time will do something special for you like how Abhishek did just now and Sanju did in the last three games. So all these things really matter to me. I think a freedom of speech in the dressing room – that is very important For me and obviously Got the way will agree with me as well because if you if you don’t listen to everyone, you can’t take everyone together and win a trophy.

Last four matches your team scored 250 plus and defended them successfully. What went into defending such big totals? And to Gautam, in 2011, a player winning at home, now as a coach, guiding the team to a World Cup victory, how different was the pressures of playing a home World Cup? Then and now.
(Surya Kumar Yadav:)
I think you all only wanted us to score 300, so we’re trying our best to reach the total but then yeah, very happy with the with the batting unit. Definitely what I what I asked them to do they were very courageous – I told them the same thing that in big tournaments you have to be very courageous when it comes to comes to batting first, taking those taking those calls when you’re batting and they delivered it really well. Wery happy for them.
(Gautam Gambhir:)
Look I can’t ask for more – I played one World Cup at home. That was a 50-over World Cup, and we ended up winning that. I was very fortunate to be part of the winning World Cup team, and then first time at home as a coach, and then winning that as well. See, the only thing we spoke about was that how can we give ourselves the best chance to win this World Cup. And the best chance to give ourselves to win this World Cup was that how we react when someone like a batter is close to 100. If someone is batting on 94, does he have the courage to go and get 100 next ball, rather than thinking about getting 100 for three or four balls. So I think guys have done that brilliantly. So I feel I think sometimes it’s very difficult to change that mindset. But all of them in the dressing room bought into that mindset. And that is where the result is. And I’m not going to take credit that the amount of times you scored what? You scored 290s, you scored 270s, 280s, 250s. And the only way you could do it is when you’re putting your team ahead of your own self and everyone in that dressing room was putting the team ahead of himself and that is the reason why we could achieve something special like this.

See last one month if you have to reflect on the last one month journey, how tough or how memorable, how happy it has been? And were there any occasion when you thought that some doubts have crept in? And secondly, is the Olympic gold next target for us?
(Surya Kumar Yadav:)
Obviously it has been a wonderful journey in the last one month though it didn’t start the way we wanted it to start, but then it’s part of the sport. Throughout the journey till today. It has been very special and collectively as a team what we’ve achieved I think it’s right in front of you so very happy with that and as you rightly said definitely the next goal is Olympics, Olympic gold and also the T20 World Cup that year. Don’t forget.

In international cricket, we see that there is an era, Australia has seen an era, which was a long lasting one. It is incredible to see that this Indian team has lost just two matches in the last four ICC events. So can we say that in white ball cricket – this is the era of Team India.
(Gautam Gambhir:}
See I won’t talk about white ball cricket, because in white ball cricket, we’ve lost two out of the last three series in one day format. If that was an era, we wouldn’t have lost two series. ICC, yes. ICC, obviously, that’s a completely different ball game. The pressure is different. And I don’t believe in those eras. You have to turn up every day, whichever match you’re playing – when you’re playing for your country. You want to win each and every game. So there’s no if and but about this – it’s not that this is a bilateral, or an ICC trophy, or the World Cup. For me, I think, the people in the dressing room are very privileged who get the opportunity to represent their country. There are millions of kids who want to be in our position, even if it’s my position. There are thousands of people who want to be in my position. There are millions of kids who want to come in the position of Surya and the players in the dressing room. So we can never take anything for granted. And when you wear this jersey, you can never afford to take anything for granted. So I can’t differentiate between bilateral and ICC – Because it’s the same. Everything exactly remains the same.

This is not a sense of comparison. But over the last few months, we’ve seen such iconic moments that will stay with us forever. One is Abhishek saying he loves the team and he is in tears talking about how much faith you have showed in him. A few months back we had Jemimah Rodriques doing the same thing. It tells us something. Indian cricket is working towards making everyone feel secure. And the sense of failure, the sense of not belonging, the sense of, oh my god, is not there. What next? What if? There has to have been something cohesive that’s been said in the dressing room, that’s been worked on, to take that sense of fear away and put a sense of security, safety in. Can both of you shed some light on that, please?
(Surya Kumar Yadav:)
I think it is important to understand that you will definitely fail more times than you succeed in sports. He must have seen it in his career. I have seen it last year in 2025. Whole year I couldn’t get a 50. It took me 400 plus days to get a 50 for India. But that’s what I told the boys, the same thing. Ups and downs will definitely keep on coming in sport. But you have to understand, you have to respect the game, you have to try and spend time with all good people around you. That’s more important. Be true to yourself. You can’t cheat the man in the mirror when you get up in the morning or you’re going to sleep. So those small, small things are very, very important to understand them, to take them out, as I rightly said, for dinners, to spend time with them, understand them, what are their strengths, what are their weaknesses. So all these small, small things which we do off the field, I think when we come on the field that actually gives you a lot of confidence, that gives them a lot of composure. And also I feel you need to understand each character in the team. So, everyday everyone is different, they bring a different skill to the table. So, you need to speak to them, their temperaments, understand them. That is actually very important and that’s what we did throughout the last one and a half years, two years. We wanted to understand how these people are, when do we press the pedal, when do we leave them. I think that is very important and that is what we did. You have to understand, you have to talk to them, give them freedom of speech and let them not change their identities. I mean what has given them success in the last so many years playing for the state, respective franchises, they don’t need to change anything when they play that for India. Yes, the jersey color changes, brings in a lot of emotion, the tricolor, but at the same time what has given them success, they shouldn’t be running away from it?
(Gautam Gambhir:)
Look, my answer is very simple. I think you pick the team on trust and faith. You don’t pick on hope. So when you pick someone on trust and faith, you don’t lose that trust and faith after four or five games. As simple as it can get. I’ve never, ever felt that we’ve ever picked a team on hope. The trust and the faith that all of us had in the squad that we had in the dressing room, irrespective whether we would have won this tournament, whether we wouldn’t have won this tournament, that is irrespective. The faith and trust would have exactly remained the same. So for me, I think that is something which is very important. And that will never go away, the trust and faith.

Surya, to you first. Who do you dedicate this win to? And Gauti, to you, Sanju winning the player of the tournament award, does it bring a sense of deja vu to you? In 2011, Yuvraj Singh was almost not making the team. Sanju, he wasn’t a part of the first 11, and then he turns it around and becomes the player of the series.
(Gautam Gambhir:)
Look, first of all, I think I should dedicate this trophy to Rahul Bhai and then to Lakshman. Because what Rahul Bhai has done to keep Indian cricket in such a good shape, I have to thank him for everything what he’s done during his tenure. And then VVS Laxman for unconditionally doing so much for Indian cricket, especially behind the doors, because COE remains the pipeline for Indian cricket. And third is obviously Ajit Agarkar, because he does take a lot of flak and the amount of honesty he’s worked with. And last but not the least, I have to thank Jai Shah, because not many people have actually called me when I’ve gone through the lowest moments in my tenure, whether it was after New Zealand, whether it was after South Africa, the only person who called me actually was Jai Bhai. And I had to thank him for trusting me with this job, because I very well remember this, that when I was given this job, I had no experience of being the head coach of any franchise or any team, but trusting me for this job, so I had to thank these guys. And I think these, till these guys are there, I think Indian Cricket is in very, very safe hands.

The question about Sanju and Yuvraj, the parallel.
(Gautam Gambhir:)
Look it’s not fair to compare two people. I think Sanju, what he’s done and the kind of… See again, Sanju did that three in a row, three in a row doing it, and especially after coming back from the kind of form that he was in. It takes so much of character and courage, where you know that maybe your career is online. Even if me and the captain can show as much faith, trust, everything on him, but deep inside that obviously you didn’t have a great series against New Zealand before the start of the World Cup. And then you didn’t start in the playing 11 during the World Cup. And then making a comeback like that and playing those kind of innings with that kind of strike rate or with that kind of flamboyance, you need to be a special player, you need to be a special talent, and hopefully he can kick off from here. And I think he deserves a lot more than actually he’s got till now. So I hope that going forward, I think, I’m not going to say that he’s going to kickstart his career. Hopefully he can achieve a lot of great things because that’s the kind of talent Sanju is – And there was never any doubt on his talent. It was just about going out there and just be as free as he wanted to be. And that is what he has shown it to everyone, that when you start believing in yourself, I think nothing matters to you apart from that.

Gautam, you talked about Rahul bhai. Rahul bhai’s team won in 2024. After that, the way your team won, it was a step up. How difficult was it to get into his shoes. Rahul bhai had a different style, you have a different style. We would like to know that in these two years. And from Surya, the team you were leading here, this team has played with a completely different template. Two moments in this match and the tournament where you felt, that this World Cup is bound to happen!
(Surya Kumar Yadav:)
When we started the tournament, we thought we wanted to win the World Cup in India. Because many people were saying that no home team has ever won the World Cup. There has never been a back-to-back. So when you go to a tournament, you think that you want to win the tournament. But at the same time, it is important to know the process and routine of how you will win it. So I told everyone that we will play like we have been playing for the last 1-1.5 years. We will try to play the ICC tournament as well. And when we played in Chennai against Zimbabwe, I felt that we have started playing a different brand of cricket. I understood a little bit how to play going forward. And when I played the quarter-final, like a quarter-final game in Eden Gardens, I felt that there was a different level of confidence in this team. Because everyone was enjoying cricket. But we started at the turning point, the peak point we started then –
(Reporter:)
The way Rahul won the team, the team you got from there, was it a step up? Let’s say you didn’t lose a single series. How tough was it? How did you plan?
(Gautam Gambhir:)
The plan was very simple. I am a different kind of character. Every person sees cricket differently. It’s not fair to compare what kind of a team I have made – I always believe that high risk, high reward is the only way to play a T20 format, and you don’t fear to lose a game of cricket to win a game of cricket. If you start fearing to lose a game of cricket, you will never win. And that’s why, as I said earlier, my ideology with the captain was very simple. We will not play a match of 160-170. I would rather accept that we get all out at 100, but that 150-160 takes you nowhere. So if you play high risk, that’s when you make 250, 260 runs. And there will be days like that and it can come in the future. And they have come. We lost a match against South Africa by 100 runs – But that ideology never changed. That mindset never changed. I never thought, that now let’s play a little subdued. Because after South Africa, all our matches were must-win matches. All were knockout matches. But despite that, if you play that kind of cricket, that’s when you give yourself the best chance to win big tournaments.

You played very well and you led the team very well. Surya, How do you see your journey especially when you look at 2023 – you were part of that team which came here and lost the match, and then youll faced a lot of criticism, and then you took the winning catch in West Indies which would youll the World Cup, and today you’re picking up the trophy as a captain. So this entire journey from then to now, as a winning captain – how do you look at it?
(Surya Kumar Yadav:)
It has been a great journey. Criticism is a part of life. You can’t run away from it. Because if you do good, people will say good, if you don’t do good, people won’t say good. It’s a simple thing, it’s very important for you to understand this. And this is a part of a sportsman’s life. But the journey of 23, then we went to 2024, we won there in Barbados. That catch, as I always say, that catch changed my life completely. Because that was a moment of the tournament. And then after that, when I started leading this amazing team, it was a very special feeling because I knew that we were going to play the World Cup in India after two years. And no team has ever won in India. And when you play T20 World Cup or any tournament in India, there is a different vibe, a different excitement. So I started telling everyone when we started playing bilaterally that you should be excited that when you play in India in T20 World Cup, people will have expectations from you, they will talk to you, you will enjoy it more. So with that excitement we started that journey. And the way we played in T20 World Cup, the way we wanted to play and the way we won this trophy, that is the part of that excitement. So it has been a very beautiful journey. And hopefully, this continues.
(Reporter:)
For both of you, Surya’s character is different. Yours is intense. So… Oh, no. Everyone has intensity in their practice. But I am saying… No, no, I’m saying that this is a matter of intensity for you and a matter of laughter and fun for you. Whether it’s Arshdeep’s reels or Akash’s reads. These new kids who are doing it, on one hand they are practicing, showing intensity, on the other hand there is a light atmosphere of laughter and fun. How was this Adan-Padan been for both of you? Both of you tell me.

See this generation is different, and the job of a coach is not just for skills, to just teach batting, bowling and fielding. The job of a coach is management – how many ever people are there in that dressing room – as long as they are not spoiling the atmosphere, let them be. I mean, make a reel or something else. I don’t know how to make it. I don’t know. But sometimes, it’s good. You give them freedom to do whatever they want. I know a lot of people say that the environment of the dressing room is very stressed and tense. I hope that the conversations will reduce and the things they say will also reduce. Because if you say or write such things, then you’re just taking your team down. You’re not taking your team up. Because we don’t only represent those 30 people, we are sitting in this room and representing all of you. So, if anything is written further, I am sure it will be written with more responsibility. And I believe that as long as you are working hard, as long as you are trying to take your team forward with your input, your hard work and your performance, then whatever you do besides that – that is your personal life. I’ve never had any issues with that.

Rohit has obviously retired straight after 2024. I am guessing you are not doing that from what you have said. How motivated are you to make this a dominant era and stay on to help that happen, a dominant era of Indian white ball cricket for the next four, five years?
(Surya Kumar Yadav:)
Five years?

However long you want.
(Surya Kumar Yadav:)
Let’s do it. No, obviously very excited the way things have gone since 2024. The way we’ve played, we won three ICC trophies in a row. I think that drought ended in 2024 after a really long time and from there we never looked back. We knew how we wanted to play going forward. Everything was changed post 2024. We played a different brand of cricket in 2024 and from there we understood how this team needs to work forward, play forward. And it’s been a wonderful journey since then. He won an ICC Champions Trophy in 2025, played completely different brand of cricket, and now in 2026, We wanted to do something special in front of home crowd right here. So we want to continue doing that 27 – 28 – 29 and never stop.

(inaudible) How did you overcome your fear of winning a toss? Because everyone said that we will win the toss – the toss is very important. So how did you remove that fear. And coach, You said you thought of making 250 runs. 250 runs is a lot to make. We don’t even think about it. How did you put this mindset in the players to achieve this much target? What strategy did you make for this and how did you prepare the mindset of the players?
(Surya Kumar Yadav:)
I had already mentioned about the toss when we were playing bilaterally. We made the toss irrelevant. We removed it from the game. Whether the dew comes or not. Because all the players have played so much cricket. They play franchise cricket, they play for the country. So, in so many bilaterals, dew keeps coming. So, when we play a big tournament, we remove the factor of toss because if you bat first and score 200-240, you have enough bowling equipped to defend that today. And if you win the toss and choose to bowl, you have to chase the target. But we not talked about toss much. I think there must have been a moment before the last bilateral when we talked about it. I never talked about it after that because it’s something that’s out of our control. What is under our control is to bat well, bowl well, field well. If you win the toss, it’s fine. If you don’t win, it’s fine.
(Gautam Gambhir:)
The mindset was very simple. How much impact can you create on every ball in 120 balls? That’s very simple. Because it’s just 120 balls. It’s not a 50-over format where you have time to come back. So if you try to create maximum impact on every ball, then you can reach 250 – 300 runs. You must have seen in the last 1.5-2 years, in this format. And I have said earlier, that if you take 4 balls to go from 96 to 100 – then you make your team lose out on 20 runs. And that is the different between winning the World Cup and losing it – because if you are batting at 96 and hit the next ball for a 6 and then get out, that’s okay – no problem, but if you take 4 singles in the next 4 balls – then you will never reach 250 – 275 – 300. So you must have seen in the past 1.5 – 2 years, I don’t remember whether anyone tried to take a single after reaching 95 or 96.
The simple philosophy was that if you think you can hit a six or a four on the next ball, then go for it. Because ultimately, in that dressing room, your 97 or 98 will be appreciated as much as 100. And that will not happen just by speaking, it will happen through our actions. There are many things that people say, but until your actions appreciate that thing, things will never change. And fortunately, I think in that dressing room, everyone played cricket in the same way. We were not thinking about taking a single on any ball, or we need two balls to make 50 runs or 100 runs. Because those 10 runs and 20 runs are the difference between winning and losing the World Cup.

Gautam, the word courage has been used a lot in the last 15-20 minutes. Maybe your hand was forced in a way, but how much courage did it take for the leadership group to make a structural change in the batting lineup midway through the tournament?
(Gautam Gambhir:)
I don’t think so. I think more than the courage, it was a tactical change as well. And more importantly, I don’t think so me and captain ever felt that Sanju was out of form. We always felt that after the New Zealand series that he needed a break. And sometimes it’s good as a leadership group to give someone a break as well. Because you want to go off the pressure, and then you want to just clean up your head and all that stuff and then come back. So obviously, we had the luxury of playing different combinations as well. And that is the depth of that squad is that we had Rinku batting at that number, and then we felt that probably we needed to break that three left-handers at the top. And not from a point of view where we felt that off spinner was an issue. Trust me. It was never a discussion that off spinner is going to create a lot of problem for our two left-handers at the top. We just felt that probably can we have someone with that Sanju’s ability and with that power at the top and we can have three explosive guys at one two and three and That was the reason so I don’t think so it was courage It was tactical and more importantly the talent that we know that Sanju had and we knew that the way he was batting in the net there was no doubt that he’s going to come in and deliver it for us. And how well has he delivered for us? I don’t think so. I remember someone coming back and scoring that consistently in all the three games, or probably all the four games. So I felt that it is very, very – we are very blessed as a team and as a coach and captain that the amount of depth we have in that dressing room. Because we could have played three, four, five combinations. We could have played two wrist spinners. We could have played batsmen till number 8 – we could have had different combinations at the top. We had three openers who could bat any time at the top. So I felt that it was never about being courageous. It is also about being tactical.

You inherited a very successful Indian team, in fact, the world champions. And in the last couple of years have ensured that the success is always maintained with three titles. So can you just tell us a challenge of inheriting a very successful side and ensuring that success is maintained and especially in a country like us where expectations are very huge and
(Gautam Gambhir:)
I don’t believe in inheriting anything, I believe in creating something. And hopefully we’ve created something which probably all of you guys could be proud of, that the kind of brand of cricket we’ve played. So it is not only about inheriting a team, it is also about creating something of your own. So that is something for me which was always something I wanted to do as a coach, that can we play a completely different brand of cricket, where people can go and say that this is the team that has consistently outscored, outbowled, and has been a fearless group of players who do not fear losing a game of cricket. And I promise you, we have spoken so many times in the dressing room that the first discussion that we always used to have was that we’re not going to fear losing a game of cricket. For too long I think it’s important for us to change that mindset and that’s the reason why I say that I think we’ve created something which all of the people in the dressing room can be really proud of and I’m sure I think they should be and their entire country should be proud of all of them.
