On Sunday, August 17th, Pazeer Khan, an independent architect who designed palace buildings across the country, died here.
He was 65. Although he was not academically trained in architecture, the buildings he planned were remarkable for their huge designs and complex visual dimensions. Khan combined colonial architecture and Indian traditions “Vasthu” for house design.
Mr. Khan operated a private company based in Eranipalam in Kozhikode. He was survived by his wife Laila Punathil and the children Abdul Wahid Khan and Nezeer Khan. The last ceremonies will be carried out on Monday 18th August at the Thoppayil mosque.
