
A high -level expert, which is headed by the Arkavati rejuvenation through the model of the public and private sector (PPP), was declared.
The release of Bangalore’s water and sewer plates (BWWSSB) said the river was the primary source of drinking water for Bengaluru between 1936 and 2000 through the Tippagondanahali tank.
The decision to create the committee was taken at the instructions of the Vice -President of the Chief Minister DK Shivakumar at a meeting held on Tuesday at the headquarters of BWWSSB, chaired by RAM Pig Manohar, Chairman of the Board of Directors.
“Stretching 53 kilometers from Nandi hills to TG Halli and covering the basin of 1,400 km. Km has an immense potential to be reborn as a sustainable rescue rope,” the edition said.
Dr. Manohar said that Yettinahole’s water was to be mixed with Arkavati waters in TG Halli. However, rapid industrial growth, wastewater discharge and environmental degradation caused the water water to cause for consumption.
“Several government agencies, non -governmental organizations and civic authorities are meeting to form a comprehensive action plan. Ideck has already launched an integrated study covering area such as Hesraghatta, Madanayakanahalli and parts of BBMP, launching the foundations for rejuvenation,” he added.
Dr. Manohar stressed that although only 15% of the Arkavati River Basin River Basin falls under the jurisdiction of BWWSSB, cooperation will be crucial.
Soon a multidisciplinary committee of experts will be created, which includes knowledge of voluntary organizations, academic institutions and civic parties to lead the mission forward, the release of the edition.
The meeting was attended by BBMP, BDA, DMA, KIADB, KSPCB, RDWSD, KUSS & DB and Art of Living, Biome Trust, scientists from the Indian Institute of Science and many other invested in water resistance.
