APSRTC suspends 170 services in Vizag due to rain

APSRTC on Thursday temporarily canceled around 170 bus services in the Visakhapatnam region in view of the impact of deep depression and adverse road conditions, while prioritizing the safety of passengers.

Regional Manager B. Appala Naidu inspected the Dwaraka Bus Station and reviewed the arrangements.

He said around 50 services on routes including RK Beach, Scindia and Gajuwaka have been canceled due to drop in passenger movement following closure of educational institutions and poor condition of roads.

Another 120 services, including AC services to distant destinations like Bhadrachalam and Hyderabad, have also been suspended. Mr. Naidu directed officials to remain alert and check services based on weather and road conditions.
