On Friday, the state President of the Union, P. Damodar Rao and General Secretary of GV Narasayya, noted that APSRTC recently increased payments for double duties and special tasks – 900 GBP for wires, 1,000 GBP for drivers, 1,800 GBP, special/night half and 2,000 GBP and 2,000 GBP. However, the calls reportedly paid less and inconsistently across songs, from 800 to 1,800 GBP instead of 1,000 to 2,000 GBP provided to conventional drivers.
The Union also pointed out that everyday incentives for drivers of hired buses and on-call drivers were stopped in some songs. They said that such differences could negatively affect the success of the Stree Shakti scheme and demand that the same payments be restored for all drivers.
