
Andhra Pradesh State Energy Conservation Mission (APSECM) Managing Director and CEO Andhra Pradesh Power Generation Corporation Limited (APGENCO) P. Pulla Reddy called for quick mobilization of public and private capital to implement energy efficiency projects across the state.
Addressing the Investment Bazar workshop at Hotel Murali Fortune, Mr. Pulla Reddy urged industries and financial institutions to convert Andhra Pradesh’s technical potential into viable, time-bound investments that will enhance competitiveness and sustainability.
Mr. Pulla Reddy highlighted the viable projects worth over ₹ 408 crores that were identified through six Investment Bazar events and highlighted the speedy financial closure and adherence to the State Energy Efficiency Policy 2024-28 and compliance with the ECBC 2017. He urged the industries to avail the ADEETIE (Assistance in Deploying Energy Efficient Technologies in Industries and Establishments) scheme which offers interest subsidy to micro, small and medium enterprises.
The workshop, attended by nearly 50 industry, bankers and dignitaries, including New and Renewable Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh (NREDCAP) VC and CEO Kamalakar Babu and Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) Director P. Shyam Sunder, reinforced Andhra Pradesh’s commitment to green industrial growth and energy efficiency.
Mr. Shyam Sunder interacted with MSME representatives and elaborated the benefits of ADEETIE scheme including interest subsidy, technical management from audit to implementation and facilitation through nodal bank and project management unit. He urged MSMEs to modernize their operations and reduce energy costs by early adoption of energy efficient technologies.
