On Tuesday, the Kerala High Court ordered the status quo to announce as a governor, as his Chancellor of the University in the State, appointed temporary vice -chairwoman at the technology University of APJ Abdul Kalam and Kerala University of Digital Sciences, innovation and technology until May 30.
However, the vice -chairman concerned must not take any political decisions or coercive steps, even on the recommendation of the relevant General Councils, Executive Councils or the University Governors.
The Provisional Order was submitted to the dismissal of the Chancellor and the temporary vice -chairmen who questioned the orders of the only bench that declared the unsustainable appointment of K.Sivaprasad and foreign Thomas as temporary vice presidents of universities. The Chancellor quoted UGC Norms and claimed that he had the power to appoint a vice -chairman.
The only bench that quoted the lack of recommendations of the state government in their appointment said that their appointment is not in line with the law. The Chancellor faced that the Supreme Court recognized the independent authority of the Chancellor in the appointment of the vice -chairman. The matter was published for hearing on Thursday.
