
The Minister of Income K. Rajan ordered all applications from the Thrissur district, which sought the central approval of the titles of forest land, recorded to the Parivesh portal and submitted to the Union’s government by June 25.
The decision was taken at the inspection meeting held on Wednesday.
Applications that have undergone joint verification were mapped with detailed surveys and transferred to topographic sheets before sending via the portal. Currently, 4,111 applications from various taluks have been prepared in this way.
Reconnaissance teams
Eight reconnaissance teams were based on the Minister’s special directive and was created and equipped with specialized vehicles and other sources. These teams examined 892,5301 hectares and prepared specific sketches of land. , A dedicated office was also established exclusively to solve the Forest Land title for the first time. This office is now playing a key role in accelerating the recording process to the Parivesh Portal.
The Committee at the District level, which includes a collector, DFO and other officials, reviews and approves contributions made on the portal. The schedule of applications sent from different taluks is Thrissur (1 590); TALAPPILLY (1 643); Chalakudy (1 430); Kunnamekulam (19) and Mukundapuram (57). In addition, 230 title documents are ready for distribution and, according to Mr. Rajan, is currently in the last stage of processing in the final stage of processing.
8 355 applications
The Minister asked to accelerate common verification procedures in 8 355 requests received in the district to maintain momentum in the title distribution process.
The review meeting was attended by the Commissioner for Soil Revenue A. Geetha, District Collector Arjun Pandian and other officials.
