Apple Vision Pro is reportedly available through the upcoming update of artificial intelligence (AI) features. According to the report, the Cupertino-based tech giant plans to add Apple Intelligence capabilities to augmented reality (AR)/virtual reality (VR) headsets with Visionos 2.4 update, which is expected to launch globally in April. It is worth noting that a report last year said wearable devices will upgrade their AI capabilities in 2025. Next to the headset, it is expected to get upgraded guest mode and new space content apps, and has updated.
Apple Intelligence reportedly came to Vision Pro
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman claimed in a report that Apple’s intelligence features could be available to users by April when the Visionos 2.4 update is expected to ship. The report cites unnamed people who know the matter, claiming that the new feature can be launched in this week’s developer beta update.
Gurman claims that upcoming updates will include writing tools, Genmojis and Image Playground apps. It appears that other features will not be available to the user immediately and may be updated subsequently. Interestingly, this is the first time that the tech giant has expanded Apple Intelligence to its larger ecosystem. Since its release, AI features are only available on select iPhone, iPad, and MacBook models.
According to the report, the decision to extend AI capabilities to Apple Vision Pro was because the device is powered by an M2 chipset and has 16GB of RAM, which is considered sufficient to support AI processing on the device.
It is reported that the first set of Apple Intelligence features will not include AI-powered Siri. In another report, Gulman claimed that the virtual assistant faces software errors and engineering problems and that the AI capabilities are not working continuously. As a result, enhanced Siri may witness delayed release.
In addition to AI, Apple Vision Pro will also be reported to have an upgraded guest mode that will allow users to manage access and applications directly through their iPhone. In addition, it is expected to debut a new spatial content application that will support 3D images and panoramic views.
