Apneurocon, 32. Annual Conference Andhra Pradesh State Neuroscience Association, began at Nayan Medical College (NMC) in Nellore on Friday 4th July. The three -day event is organized by Simhapuri Neuro Club and Narayan Medical College.
Dr. Sampath Kumar, an organizational secretary and head of neurology in NMC, emphasized the importance of continuous academic learning in clinical practice.
“We started this conference with a high impact of the academic seminar focused on surgical possibilities of epilepsy resistant to drugs and advanced approaches to the treatment of stroke and spine disorders. These sessions are focused on enrichment of clinical skills of neurologists and neurosurgeons for better patient results,” he said.
On this occasion, P. Srinivasulu Reddy, president of Simhapuri Neuro Club, expressed its pride in hosting Apneurocon in Nellore for the third time – after successful conferences in 2007 and 2017.
He noted that a huge reaction from higher faculties and young doctors stressed that a strong academic foundation was laid in the region.
The conference attracted more than 600 medical experts and more than 70 speakers at the national level, making it one of the largest neuroscience rally this year.
Venkata Ramanamurty, Secretary General Andhra Pradesh Neurosciences Association and Senior Consultant Neurologist in Apollo, Nellore hospitals, praised the organizers’ efforts.
Meeting includes key topics such as brain tumors, brain traumatic injuries, pediatric neurological disorders, epilepsy and neurocritic care.
