Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials raided the properties of Andhra Pradesh Medical Infrastructure Development Corporation (APMIDC), Vijayawada, General Manager (GM) Malladi Venkata Suryakala and discovered properties worth around ₹ 6 crore, allegedly disproportionate to her known source of income.
Acting on information that the official had amassed assets disproportionate to her legal sources of income, an ACB team on Friday conducted searches at properties belonging to her and her relatives in Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada.
During the raids, immovable items such as houses, agricultural land and land were identified at 27 places, fixed deposits worth ₹2 crore, two cars, gold and silver ornaments and cash of ₹9 crore were seized, officials said in a report.
The CEO has been arrested and further investigations are underway. The search is ongoing, investigators said.
