
The government is taking steps to provide enough water to farmers in the state, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said at a public meeting in Markapuram district on Wednesday (February 25).
“The coalition government aims to increase the income of farmers in the state. We are developing Prakasam and Markapuram districts with horticultural crops along with Rayalaseema region. We will make Markapuram a hub for horticultural crops,” he said.
The CM added that there was a problem with land records in Markapuram district. “We are making land records highly secure using QR codes. We will take action if anyone creates fake records. We will also sanction ₹50 crore for the construction of a new building for the Markapuram district collectorate,” he said.
The government is improving the standard of living of the people and ensuring better governance, Mr. Naidu said, promising the people to ensure safe drinking water in fluoride contaminated areas. He also promised to clean the state through Swachh Andhra schemes.
Regarding employment opportunities, he said investment proposals worth ₹20 crore have come in the state and it would create 20 lakh jobs for the youth in the next four years. The government was proceeding with a firm resolve to change the state’s history, he said.
“I am working for people and state and development of Telugu people is my aim. I am making plans for future generations and it is people’s responsibility to vote NDA in next elections too,” he added.
