
A delegation from the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Department is participating in the South Asian Tourism Exhibition (SATTE) which began on Wednesday, February 25 at the ‘Yashobhoomi’ (Indian International Convention and Exhibition Centre) in New Delhi. The three-day expo ends on February 27.
On behalf of the state tourism department, Deputy General Manager Srinivas, Marketing Director Padma Rani, Marketing Manager Rafeeq Ahmed and other senior officials attended the fair and explained the tourism potential of Andhra Pradesh to representatives from various countries.
The delegation focused on strengthening the tourism network by connecting travel agencies from the state with their national and international counterparts. Efforts are underway for international recognition of the state’s long coastline, Araku Valley, Gandikota and major spiritual destinations such as Tirupati, Vijayawada and Srisailam. Designing innovative and cost-effective travel packages to attract tourists from different countries were also discussed.
Ministry officials said Tourism Minister Kandula Durgesh and senior officials Ajay Jain and Amrapali Kata will attend more such international tourism conferences to place Andhra Pradesh tourism on the global stage.
Tour operators registered with the AP Tourism Authority (APTA) portal have been given the opportunity to participate in the AP Pavilion at the ongoing exhibition and interact with national and international agencies, enabling them to further expand their services.
