AP Police arrests more than 1,340 people for posting ‘defamatory remarks, objectionable content’ on social media

The Andhra Pradesh Police has arrested over 1,340 persons for allegedly posting derogatory remarks and objectionable comments on various social media platforms.

In the last 18 months, around 1,500 cases have been registered and 4,500 illegal, objectionable and offensive contents have been removed from social media groups, Director General of Police (DGP) Harish Kumar Gupta said.
