The 44 -year -old man from Andhra Pradesh was arrested on Tuesday by the Vaniyambadi Municipal Police in Tirupattura for theft of 5 Lakh cash, which was held in a two -round wheel two months ago.
The police said the arrested person was identified as V. Rathhnakumar, a native of Andhra Pradesh. The initial investigation revealed that the victim of K. Subrama (59) Agent Lic, built a new house in the village of Vallipatt near the town of Vaniyambadi in the last few months. Together with the private supplier of S. Jayapaul (55) buildings, the subrangers left for the local bank and withdrew 5 Lakh cash in June. He kept cash inside a steel box in two -wheel wheels and the duo went shopping.
When they arrived at the construction site, the duo opened a steel box in two -wheel wheels and found that cash was missing. The case was registered by the Vaniyambadi Municipal Police. Police analyzed CCTV shots and mobile phones signals.
The police found that the suspect Rathhnakumar watched the duo at the time of the incident and charged him from his hiding place in Chennai. Later it was stored in a sub-yail in Tirupattur. The probe is running.
