Commission Andr Pradesh Mahil on Tuesday took announcements of the alleged death dowry in Vuyyur in the Krishny district. Private college lecturer identified as V. Sri Vidy (23) allegedly ended his life with suicide over the alleged torture encountered by her husband Arun Kumar.
Mrs. Vidya, who married five months ago, worked as a lecturer at a private school, while her husband was an inspector of the Secretariat of the Department, the Vuyyur police said.
The chairman of the Commission Mahil R. Sailaja said that the alleged death of the dowry was taken by Suo Moto. The police were ordered to take strict steps against the accused.
On Tuesday, the Vuyyur Police took Arnu Kumar to custody.
