In a significant step aimed at strengthening ties with Telugu Diaspora, Andr Pradesh began a comprehensive initiative on the list of non -resident Indians (NRIS), who lived around the world and offered them a wide range of dedicated services, including specialist mechanisms, including uniform and weekly special courts.
On Thursday (June 5, 2025), who spoke exclusively with Hindu, the Minister of NRI Relations, Srinivas said that the government is conducting a survey through the Secretariats in the Village and Department to collect basic details of NRI, such as their country, contact information AE -mail addresses.
“Once the list is completed, we focus on addressing all 30 lakh NRIs with details of the services provided by the State and Andhra Pradesh, which is not a resident Telugu company (APNRT),” he said.
The government has set up NRI wings at both state and district levels. While the state -level operations are monitored under the police supervisor, the wings at the districts level are functional in collecting with Tahsildary and the circle inspectors to deal with real estate protection, legal and other questions.
Srinivas emphasized the role of APNRTS and said that under the leadership of Officer IAS as CEO and prominent NRI as the President to bridge communication between diaspora and government. At the same time, the government appoints NRI for coordinators at the continental level that would coordinate between government and people abroad.
The Minister also revealed that the government actively considers the establishment of the weekly NRI courts in each district after feedback from the diaspora. “The main Minister of N. Chandrababa Naida ordered the department to explore the feasibility of this demand,” he added.
Other initiatives considered include the WhatsApp Administration for faster service provision. He added that 24/7 free call center for NRI solutions is gaining calls from around the world and will be further strengthened.
In addition, the state plans to celebrate Pravasi Telugu Divási every January around the Pongal festival to be meaningfully involved with Telugu NRI. Minister Srinivas urged all nri to approach the separation whenever they require support or intervention by the government, and assured them of Andhra Pradesh’s commitment to protect their interests.
