The Andhra Pradesh government has issued orders to alienate two acres of land at West Bapatla village in Bapatla mandal in favor of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) district president Bapatla for construction of a party office building.
According to GO 534, issued on 31 December 2025, two acres were allotted on lease for a period of 33 years. The rent has been fixed at ₹ 1,000 per acre per year in accordance with the provisions of GO 340 dated 21 July 2016 and other relevant GOs
The decision follows a proposal made by the Bapatla District Collector and subsequent recommendations of the Andhra Pradesh Land Management Authority (APLMA) during its meeting on 16 December 2025. The proposal was initiated on the request of Bapatla MLA Vegesana Narendra Varma Raju.
The government has set several conditions for alienation. The land must be used exclusively for the intended purpose within three years and cannot be further transferred, leased or alienated without the prior consent of the tax authority. Existing roads and water bodies, if any, shall not be disturbed and no construction shall be permitted on ecologically sensitive or fragile areas.
