Main Minister Andhra Pradesh N. Chandrababu Naidu and his wife Nara BhuvaSwari participated
The couple landed on the premises of the University of Dravidian on the edge of Kuppam by a helicopter from Bengalur. Mr. Naida was welcome, people from the Kuppam Chamber and TDP cadre.
Mr. Naida arrived in the Gangamma temple, where the temple priests welcomed him with a traditional Poornakumbham. He offered prayers and introduced silk garments to the deity chairman.
Mr. Naidu exchanged pleasure with TDP cadres before he left for Bengalur Airport from Helpad. The district collector Sumit Kumar, SP manicant Chandol and leaders of TDP were present.
Kuppam Jatara is the main festival Sri Prasanna Tirupati Gangamma, considered the sister of Lord Venkateswar. The history of Jatar dates back to the 17th century and the festival receives the patronage of the rulers of Teluga, Kannada and Tamil Dynasty, followed by a British Raj.
On Tuesday evening, Palanquin bearing the head of the idol was eliminated in a large parade from Peddy Bavi to Pathapet to the main temple.
The procession will continue for more than 24 hours and covers all wards in the municipality of Kuppam. The estimated 3 lakh people from Kuppam and neighboring Tamil Nadu and Karnataka took place during the festival.
Until Wednesday noon, thousands of villagers offered prayers for the process deity. The festival ended with Viswaroop Darshan on Wednesday.
