Chief Minister Andhra Pradesh N. Chandrababu Naida asked officials to conduct a comprehensive satellite survey to map crops across all research numbers in the state.
At the Agriculture Audit meeting on Tuesday (July 22, 2025), Mr. Naida emphasized the need to modernize agriculture with advanced technologies, artificial intelligence and satellite data to ensure accurate information for politicians.
The satellite survey launched in the district of Bikkavol Mandal of East Godavari provided encouraging results. The main minister ordered officials to verify these satellite data with field and farmers’ inputs to cultivate similar crops in clusters for better yield and profitability.
He also emphasized the update of agricultural records after the completion of land resurvey and cleaning record records.
The main minister insisted on monitoring crops in real time using 42 standard parameters. Groundwater recharging structures should focus on 1,000 TMC FT Storage.
He ordered the determination of channels and coordinated efforts between agriculture and water resources departments.
Drones should be deployed widely in agriculture and other allied sectors, adding that drones can simplify agricultural operations and have potential applications in 15 sectors.
By reviewing the integration of AI Chatbot, which helps farmers with crop planning and adding value, he emphasized the farmers early and accessible information using AI tools.
The main minister raised concerns about excessive use of fertilizers and pesticides and said it worsens soil health and causes cancer. He called for a familiar campaign and strict monitoring of initial use. Integrated pest management systems (IPM) should be accepted to minimize cheminal dependence.
Mr. Naida announced that he would soon be virtual encounters with associations for water users to understand their problems and effectively plan water distribution.
Organic certification
He emphasized organic certification to increase demand and revenue for farmers. He approved a partnership with a TATA group for organic certification and emphasized export potential to countries like Japan and Tai -wan. Production with certifications such as NPOP and Indiagap can be exported to more than 130 countries, he said.
Mr. Naidu appreciated the products developed by Coco Munj, a company that produces coconut -based products. Minister of Agriculture K. Atchnaid and higher officials of related departments were present at the meeting.
