The Andhra Pradesh cabinet decided to carry out a universal health policy aimed at providing comprehensive health insurance coverage to all families in the state, at a meeting of the main Minister N. Chandrababa Naid on Thursday.
As part of the program integrated by Ayushman Bharat and NTR Vaidya Seva programs, each family will be capable of up to 25 lakhs per year for free medical treatment, regardless of their economic status. This initiative is expected to benefit 1.63 Crore families throughout the state.

A total of 3,257 medical procedures will be covered without costs. The simplified preliminary management system will ensure treatment approval within just six hours.
According to the new structure, the medical requirements of up to 2.5 GBP Lakh will be handled by insurance companies, while spending over 2.5 GBP Lakh and up to 25 lakh will carry NTRa Vaidya Seva Trust. This policy includes economically weaker families of 1.43 crore as well as 20 lamps of other families, he said.
The Cabinet also approved the establishment of 10 new medical faculties according to the PP in Adoni, Madanapalle, Markapuram, Pulivendula, Penuond, Palakonda, Palakonda, Palakonda, Bapuram, Narsipatnam, Bapatla and Parvatathipuram.
