The efforts of the government Andr Pradesh (AP) to attract units for the production of aviation and defense (A&DM) on a large scale seem to bring the desired result as a number of manufacturers of original equipment (OEM), most of which micro, small and medium -sized enterprises (MSME) produce niche products.
This is duly attributed to the goodwill, which the government recently appointed advisors to G. Satheesh Reddy (former chairman of the defense research and development organization) and S. So (former chairman of the Indian space research organization) brought for the state because he sought investments in A & DM sector.
For example, it is reliably found that the Taiwanese company declares the interest in setting up a plant for the production of semiconductors in the Kurnool district and applied for land and the necessary permits according to the Indian semiconductor mission. Then there are companies like Avantel Ltd. and Astra Microwave Products Ltd. Exploring opportunities in AP
In fact, Avantel Ltd., which installed a network of mobile satellite services for the Indian Navy, which provides voice and data communication between its ships, submarines and aircraft and has several other technologies and digital solutions in its repertoire, looking for land and certain incentives near Nuzvid in the ELURU district.
Bharat Dynamics LTD, defensive dog, is reportedly directed to expansion in its production unit in Visakhapatnam Sez. Several other A&DM companies, including a defensive dog, want to invest in the state and have already addressed the government with the relevant proposals. It is said that the Goa shipyard is also looking at investment trips in AP
Tailor -made incentives
In this context, the Government of the AP offers all possible incentives of support and tailor-made in AP Aerospace & Defense Policy 4.0, 2025-29, which is in the process of completion. As part of this policy, the government was considering the development of four clusters: MRO naval construction and defense (maintenance, repair and overhaul), production and production of defense and aviation and rocket and ammunition and electronics defense. For this reason, it follows the AP department and the business of the French model of defense clusters, where the OEM clusters keep the key in the development of the ecosystem A&D.
The President of the Industrial Association told the Hindes that A&D DM had suggested the Government of AP to best develop a defensive corridor / cluster in Jaggaiahpet in the NTR district with respect to their proximity to Hyderabad. At the same time, it focuses on attracting investment in the clusters of Orvakal and Kopparthy, which are located in industrial corridors Hyderabad-Bengalur and Visakhapatnam-Chennai.
He said that Mr. Satheesh Reddy (advisor for A & DM HUB) and Mr. Somanath (advisor, space technology) did a lot of work for curtains to attract investments and their efforts to bring fruit. The following construction of the starting vehicle of the next generation in Sriharikota provides great support for the ecosystem A&D in the state, he noted.
