The government on Friday (January 2) allowed AP Airports Development Corporation Limited (APADCL) to acquire 418.14 acres at Damavaram village in Nellore district on perpetual lease for the development of the proposed greenfield airport Dagadarthi by paying a compensation of Rs 13 lakh per acre. Special Principal Secretary (Infrastructure and Investments – Airports) MT Krishna Babu submitted a proposal to the government seeking approval of the above compensatory rate as recommended by RDO Kavali. The rate was accordingly approved and the District Collector sought the Government’s approval to proceed with the payment of compensation.
