
Congress and all India Trinamool Congress (AITC) State Conventner PV Anvar achieved understanding to cooperate with the Communist Party of India (Marxista) (CPI (M)) in the Nilamburk Byelection.
On Wednesday on Wednesday, the discussions between the leaders of Congress and Mr. Anvar in Thiruvananthapurama settled to rebuild the position of the UDF to the AITC in the United Democratic Front (UDF). However, Congress’s management provided Mr. Anvar with regard to the upcoming local elections in the local authority, followed by elections to the assembly in 2026.
“Only a request”
Mr. Anvar has abandoned Malappuram (DCC) vs Joy as a UDF candidate in Nilambur since his insistence. Instead, he undertook to support anyone from the UDF field in Nilambur. “To suggest that Mr. Joy’s name was just a request we submitted. Anyone can submit such requests. It is for Congress to decide,” he said.
“The discussions we bought were absolutely positive. We were all happy. We achieved an understanding of cooperation against” Pinarayism “in the state,” said Mr. Anvar.
He said that Congress UDF and Trinamool shared a common goal in Kerala – defeat CPI (M) and “Pinarayism”. He expressed support for UDF in Nilambur and said, “Congress will decide his candidate and I will fully support.”
“Support for essential”
After discussions, the opposition leader VD Satheesan said that Mr. Anvar’s support will be essential for UDF in Nilambur. However, he said that the final decision on the nature of cooperation with the former MLA will be made after discussions with voters UDF.
Mr. Anvar expressed concern that CPI (M) and BJP could deepen themselves with the support of the election commission to potentially avoid Nilambur enclosure, and stated that such suspicions seem to be valid due to current circumstances.
Mr. Anvar, who joined the AITC led by the main minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee, after breaking the ties with CPI (M) as his independent MLA in Nilambur, indicated that Trinamool would not teach to join UDF. Instead, he said it would be a political understanding outside the queue.
Mr. Anvar announced that the Trinamool Congress founded a strong organizational presence in Kerala, with district committees in all 14 districts, 86 election committees and more than 300 Panchayat committees. He also said that the party’s national leadership will support their fight against CPI (m) in the state.
