
The complaint was filed against filmmakers Anurag Kashyap over his “derogatory and castes” notes against Brahmins in connection with the release of the upcoming film “Phuule”.
The creator found himself in the middle of a huge discussion after his comments, which many of the social media angry. This made the head of the BJP Mahashtra of Social Media and the Legal Advisory Department to file a complaint against him with the Bombai police on Friday.
In his complaint, advocate Ashutosh Dubey tried to file a company against Anuraga Kashyap for his “derogatory and caste remark”.
Dubey is the head of the Social Media Department and Maharashtra BJP.
Dubey shared a copy of his complaint filed with the police in Mumbai.
“I officially filed a complaint against @Mumbaipolice, who was looking for a company registration against @anuragkashyap72 for his derogatory and caste remark against the Brahmin community,” he said in post X, with his complaints and screenshots of Kashyap notes.
“Such hateful speeches cannot be tolerated in civil society. The law must pass its course,” he added.
Dubey claimed that Kashyap made a hateful remark against the Brahmin community.
According to the screen shared in a separate post, anurag Kashyap can be seen to be a controversial comment.
Livemint could not verify or find the comment that was apparently on Instagram under Kashyap’s own contribution to the “Phuule” controversy.

According to the paintings of the complaint shared by Dubey, the complaint tried to file a company against Anurag Kashyap according to sections 194 (1), 195 and 356 (2) Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhit (BNS).
Dubey, who described the main Minister Mahashtra Devendra Fadnavis in another post, said he should deal with hateful content in a strict way.
“As a member of the Brahmin community, I am deeply offended by this derogatory and hateful commentary Anurag Kashyap … Such a statement is not only caste, but also stimulates hatred and violates the principles of dignity and equality protected according to our constitution.

Protests Anurag Kashyap Slams ‘Phuule’
Anurag Kashyap criticized the protests around the film “Phuule”, Biopic on Social Reformers Jyotirao and Savitribai Phuule, and questioned why films showing caste problems in India are forbidden.
The director also criticized the Central Council for Film Certification (CBFC) for modifications to the proposed “Phuule”.
Biopic, representing Pratik Gandhi and Patrhekhaa in the roles of the reformist couple, was released last week, but now arrives at theaters 25 April.

After the “Phuule” trailer was unveiled online on April 10, some members of the Brahmin community raised objections and said they were portrayed in the wrong light.
In a series of contributions on Instagram Kashyap, he said that his first game of his career was based on the lives of Jyotib and Savitribai Phuule.
“If there was no caste in this country, why they had to fight it,” he asked.
