Anurag Kashyap, co -creator of sacred games in which Saif Ali Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui play, remained angry after Netflix’s CEO Ted Sarandos for the series, which called the beginning of Netflix originals in India.
The 2018 show was a hit among the audience. His second season, however, was poorly accepted, which led to the abolition of the show for the third season.
The very angry Kashyap took on Instagram to express his disappointment and call Sarandos “Definition of Stupid”.
Sarastically indicating that Netflix “was supposed to start with Saas Bahu” Anurag Kashyap said it would do well. “Which is doing now,” Netflix with Balaji Telefilms from Ekta Kapoor added, referring to the recent collage.
“I always knew that technicians were stupid when it came to telling stories, but now Sarandos is a stupid definition that I didn’t know,” Kashyap said.
“It’s good to find out. He explains it all now.” Kashhyap wrote next to the news article on Ted Sarandos notes.
What did Sarandos say that Anurag Kashyap had so angry?
At the podcast, Nikhil Kamatha Ted Sarandos said that sacred games should not be the first Indian original Netflix, adding that the streaming giant could do something “populist” instead.
“For me, if I did it again, I would do sacred games a few years later and did things that were more populist (instead)? Maybe,” he said.
However, Sarandos said on “Streaming New India: Culture, Connection and Creative Capital”, “We took our big swing seven years ago with sacred games … and I knew India would be a very important part of our journey.”
“What we found with sacred games is that great stories could overcome borders, languages and cultures and really talk to the world.” Sacred games did it, “Sarandos added.
