A total of 189 persons were positively tested to consume narcotic substances out of 541 suspects rounded in Memor for four days within the drug drives. The drive was carried out after an illegal production plant was found on the outskirts of the city.
Commissioner of the Municipal Police of Seema Latkar said that the police have rounded suspicious consumers of drugs and persons with a previous history of drug consumption from different parts of the city in narcotic and psychotropic substances (NDP). After consulting with hospital physicians, it was used to test whether she had consumed drugs, a drug test kit.
The municipal police will book cases against all 189 persons who have been positively tested for drug consumption.
On Saturday, she spoke to reporters, when the Chamundi Vihar Indoor stadium gathered a large number of suspects of drug consumers after being rounded from various police stations in Mysuru, Mrs. Latkar said that a total of 51 people out of 259 picked up on Saturdays.
Mrs. Latkar answered questions and said that among those who tested positive, most of them consumed Ganja. She also stated that there was no information about the suspicious consuming MDMA, a narcotic drug that was reportedly found on a temporary unit on the outskirts of the city when a team of police officials from Bombai and Mysur made a raid.
In addition to the reservation against all 189 people who tested positive drug consumption, the city police registered 11 companies against drug sellers in the city for selling or possession of drugs.
In the process of documentation, the city police were looking for an explanation of all persons who were culminating for suspicion of drug consumption. Those who were rounded up were from different parts of the city, including places below the limits of the police station Mandi Mohalla, Udayagiri, Krishnaraja and Nazarbad.
Since the joint operation of the police in Mumbai and the Police of Mysur in the city arrested illegal drug production facilities, the police have carried out intensive searches and combing operations within the drug drives.
The police were also looking for information from pharmaceutical stores to clamp on any effort to sell drugs through false regulations. On the basis of police tips attacked several shops in the city.
