Rashtriya’s head Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Mohan Bhagwat will appeal to workers associated with Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) on Wednesday (July 23, 2025) during the final ceremony of Sangh Parivar. President BMS Hiranmay Pandy, who spoke to reporters in Nový Delhi on Monday (July 21, 2025), said his organization is open to cooperate with other trade unions on the question of trade unions in the country. He said that BMS is worth the rights of workers since its foundation in 1955.
When Mr. Pandy asked about the opposition to four working codes, he said the BMS welcomed the wage code and the social security code. He said that these two codes paved the way for minimum wages and social security for each worker. “Why should anyone stand up?” he asked. However, he stated that BMS has proposed changes in the Code of Industrial Relations and the Code in the field of safety, health and working conditions.
When Mr. Pandy asked about the fears of 10 other central trade unions that the Code of Industrial Relationships could limit the trade union rights, he said that BMS would be against any such step against any such step and added that the Union was in the forefront of protests against the current BJP regime.
The four codes that were in parliament in 2019 and 2020, in the second term of Narendra Modi government, were against various central trade unions.
He said BMS had previously worked with other trade unions and was still ready to cooperate with them. “It is for them to decide whether they want to work for workers’ interests rather than on political motifs,” he said. In privatization, he said the BMS thought that industrial industries in strategic sectors should not be privatized.
