Each selected professor will receive an annual community of 30 ₹ Lakh, along with 24 ₹ Lakh as a research grant for consumables, home travel, unforeseen events, equipment and other expenses. 1 Lakh was also provided a year.
The Council for Science and Engineering Research (Serb), now included in the AnRF, previously administered Serb Distinguished Fellowship for retirement scientists. This system offered a research grant of 20 Lakh a year and a monthly scholarship of 60 000 GBP.
Unlike previous scholarships, the new initiative is also open to overseas scientists, including non -resident Indians, Indian origin and overseas citizens of India. In addition, experts from industry and experienced professors can apply with a “significant record” on research and innovation.
The key resolution of the new program is that the recipients must be based on state universities that qualify as “spoken” institutions in the category and the recently introduced promotion of advanced and inclusive research (paired) ARF program.
The couple’s initiative connects universities with the nascent research ecosystems with the highest institutions in the mentor arrangement. Selected Central Universities, National Technology Institutes and Indian Institutes of Information Technology have been classified as “spoken” institutions, while institutions were placed on 25 or below the national institutional ladder, are marked as “centers”.
Selected professors are expected to move to the host university if necessary and provide “permanent academic and research support for faculties and students in institutions with developing research capacity”.
“Applicants with strong research authorities must be actively involved in research and innovation and to prove a strong commitment to the Faculty of Mentoric Faculty at eligible state universities where research and innovation is still in the nascent phase,” said an ARRF note.
