The Yelahanka police registered companies against the Embassy company after the second worker at the Venkatale construction site in Yelahanka, which was injured after a pile of mud died on Monday when digging a pit for a foundation.
While J. Shiva, 32, died on the spot on Monday, Madhusudhan Reddy, 58, who was injured and admitted to the ICU, succumbed to Tuesday.
On the basis of a complaint filed by the wife of Shiva, the police accused the embassy and 13 others, including the project manager, guards and others, according to Section 108 (death due to negligence) BNS for further investigation.
According to the complaint on Monday between 16:00 and 16:30, they kicked the pits for the foundation to install the modular boxes for rainwater collection during heavy rain and were captured in the mud when they were inserted on them.
Other workers with the excavator pulled Shiva and Madhusudhan and moved them to the hospital. Shiva was declared dead while Madhusudhan was treated.
The company stated that the authorities concerned did not take adequate security measures that could prevent death.
