Mangat Ram Sharma, another main secretary of the government, WRD department (WRD), on Thursday reviewed the progress of working on fire through Cauver in Nanjai Pugal in the district of Karur.

Harba with a storage capacity of 800 million cubic FET is built via Kausel between Nanjai Pugar in the district of Karur and Anicamplayam in the Namarkal district. It is built for the price of 406 GBP Cerore. The project stabilizes irrigation to about 1,458 acres of the Aycut area in Vangal Channel in the Karur district and 2,583 acres of the Ayacut Mohanur channel in the Namarkal district.
The length of the thumb will be 1,056 meters and will have 73 vents. It was designed to drain 3.6 Lakh Cusecs with water. Harba will increase infiltration and recharge of groundwater in the surrounding areas. In the districts of Karur and Namakkal will benefit about 15 combined drinking water schemes.
Later, another main secretary was visited by Mayanur Parage and reviewed the progress of the Cauverry-Vaigai-Gundar River, which is trying to avert the surplus of Kausevera streams to the southern parts of the state with the channel. The edge over Kauver in Mayanuru in the district of Karur is the head of the new 262 km Link Canal, which transmits excess water from Cauver to southern Velar, Vaigai and Gundar. The channel will have the ability to carry about 6,000 cusecs water.
In the first phase of the project, the channel will be built from the Mayanur firing on South Veleluž. The channel will pass districts Karur (47.23 km), Tiruchi (18.89 km) and Pudukottai (52.32 km).
As part of the first phase of the project, in February 2021, the construction of a channel began on the section 4.1 km in the Karur district with an estimated 171 crore. It is scheduled to complete in June 2025. According to sources, 80% of the work has been completed and the amount of 140 crore has so far been spent.
Mr. Sharma also visited UPPER Anicut in Mukcomb and led discussions with officials on the maintenance scheme.
